Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all guest rooms and for promoting safety and good guest relations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following, but not limited to:

  • Wears appropriate uniform and name tag.
  • Cleans all rooms assigned thoroughly to IMIC standards.
  • Takes care of all uniforms, equipment and supplies issued.
  • Promotes proper sanitation and safety for guests and employees at all times.
  • Communicates with Housekeeping Supervisor on the status of all cleaned rooms; communicates as each room is completed.
  • Reports any damage or missing items in rooms.
  • Restocks the room cart at shift end with linen and other needed supplies.
  • Responsible for all keys issued and complies with the key policy as prescribed by the company.
  • Turns in all "lost and found" items as prescribed by company policy.
  • Reports immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor the following:
    • No luggage in a stayover
    • Usage of a vacant room
  • Uses only the cleaning agents supplied - NO BLEACH
  • Ensures that when cleaning guest rooms, the room cart is positioned in front of the door currently being cleaned, no other doors are to be left open.
  • Never communicates guest room numbers and/or names without following proper procedures, and guests are not allowed in the room without an operable guest room key.
  • Assists in laundry as needed and must be APPROVED by Supervisor or GM
  • Performs shift duties in accurate and timely manner.
  • Responsible for taking own trash out throughout the day
  • Follows deep cleaning procedures as instructed.
  • Trained in OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standards.
  • Fully understands all fire and emergency procedures.
  • Maintains good personal hygiene habits.
  • Follow Employee Conduct Policy and other policies out lined in handbook.
  • Follows all company policies.
  • Follow Employee Conduct Policy and other policies out lined in handbook.
  • Follows shift procedures and checklists as outlined by Hotel.
  • Does not access any unauthorized internet site while working in the PMS.
  • Will not give out personal logins, passwords, or access to PMS or company email to anyone.
  • Will not access unapproved internet sites on any company computers.
  • Promotes positive guest and employee relations.

QUALIFICATIONS
