Position Summary

An independent, take-charge professional responsible for developing, coordinating and executing marketing strategies across multiple properties within the hospitality industry. Must have the ability to meet tight deadlines with little supervision and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. The Marketing Coordinator should have a passion for helping the assigned portfolio of properties increase their relevance in today's increasingly digital world, provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional and be able to build relationships with all key stakeholders.

  • Execute marketing strategy components such as content development, email marketing, direct mail, collateral and promotional development, website development and management, social media strategy deployment, digital marketing management, etc…   
  • Provides basic graphic design support and campaign design direction by working collaboratively with the creative team and vendors.
  • Primary point of contact for assigned portfolio regarding all marketing related requests; effectively manages project pipeline and adheres to strict deadlines
  • Supports and develops reports and metrics to support marketing activities
  • Actively manages marketing vendors and budget for assigned portfolio; works closely with property contact to ensure goals and objectives are aligned within budgetary means.
  • Supports execution of brand initiatives and strategies; thinks creatively and outside of the box to initiative fresh, compelling and creative concepts.
  • Abides by brand standards in development of all campaigns and materials.
  • Works collaboratively with internal marketing team to accomplish portfolio's marketing campaign calendar. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provides regular and reliable attendance

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Arts, Graphics, Communication or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing related role; preferably within Hospitality Industry
  • 1-3 years of experience with integrative marketing technologies

Physical Demands:

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some frequent sitting or standing is required.  Ability to read and interpret writing in color is required. Must use dexterity to operate computer and related tools 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills, written verbal and visual
  • Strong understanding of design tools and concepts
  • Basic understanding of graphic design
  • Experience with Starwood and Merlin systems
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design tools
