Are you passionate about events? Puff 'n Stuff Catering, Central Florida's premier off-site caterer, is currently in search of an enthusiastic, personable, and organized Special Events Coordinator to help our Special Event Planners make lasting memories for our clients while building solid relationships with our vendors and staff.  

The Special Event Coordinator assists SEPs with the details and administrative tasks of the event planning process, including contacting clients, making revisions to events, taking payments, notifying other departments of event requirements and ensuring emails are answered promptly.  With consistent attention to detail, creativity and a positive attitude, the person in this role has a huge impact on success of our team and ensures we always create memorable events for our clients.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assist in the creation of SEO's (Special Event Orders) with attention to detail and correct order input into Caterese software
  • Assist in the creation of event diagrams in AllSeated
  • Assist with client communication, responding to voice mails and emails in a timely manner
  • Confirm scheduled appointments, planning sessions and tastings
  • Order rental equipment for events in a timely manner, including cost summaries and purchase orders when necessary
  • Communicate with Operations about logistics for events
  • Manage event deposits, payments, and accounts receivable to ensure all payments are collected on schedule
  • Attend events as necessary to ensure quality of service and presentation
  • Provide efficient and professional service at an appropriate level to meet or exceed client's needs

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's Degree in Hospitality or related field with hospitality experience; Bachelor's degree in hospitality preferred
  • 1-2 years catering or banquet administrative experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to stay organized while handling multiple projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Publisher
  • Proficiency in Caterease and AllSeated preferred
