JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a strategic HR function in the context of the Company's short and long-term business goals and objectives. While an operational foundation currently exists, the immediate charge will be to shape an end-to-end talent management architecture using best practices for talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Champion company-wide culture development and evolution.
  • Participate in Leadership Executive Committee, keeping everyone informed of potential challenges impacting the achievement of company goals, and those not being addressed adequately at the line management level.
  • Liaise with PEO leadership team to define corporate HR policies, update corporate Employee Manual/Handbook and ensure compliance across all departments
  • Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization's values. Conduct employee surveys and make necessary adjustments to policy to greater enhance employee satisfaction and improve morale.
  • Maintain organization of employee file storage and records retention 
  • Manage companywide committees including the wellness, training, environmental health and safety, activity, and culture and communications committees
  • Lead company compliance with all existing federal, state, and governmental reporting requirements, including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth to maintain minimal company exposure to lawsuits
  • Design, direct, and lead a company-wide process of organizational planning to evaluate company structure, establish department accountability, job design for a superior workforce, personnel forecasting, employee retention, succession planning and change management throughout the company, evaluate plans and changes to plans, and make recommendations to executive team
  • Work with department leaders to maintain current organizational charts and job descriptions for entire organization
  • Establish standard company wages and salary structure, pay policies, and oversee the variable pay systems within the company, including raises and profit-sharing / bonus
  • Lead the development of benefit orientations and other benefit training
  • Recommend changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention
  • Lead company-wide recruiting efforts, partnering with internal managers. Manage talent requisition platform, time and attendance platform and employee HR portal. 
  • Refine and lead corporate employee orientation and on-boarding processes
  • Work with Department Leaders to create and ensure all appropriate department-specific training is administered and documented (i.e. truck driving, ServSafe)
  • Foster integrated leadership teams within each market and between markets to inspire high morale and motivation
  • Participate in pre / post-event analysis to gather info and refine initiatives

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Masters Degree in Human Resources or Equivalent Experience
  • Three (3) years experience with Strategic Planning and Recruiting
  • Must have basic Microsoft Office knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Valid Florida Driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Effective communication, time management, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)
