The Maintenance Technician is to assist the Facilities Manager in carrying out the maintenance processes of the property, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency and cosmetic maintenance in a manner consistent with the properties operational objectives. The maintenance technician provides effective and efficient maintenance, and mechanical system support to pre school campuses. Employee will ensure, within all regulatory agency requirements that buildings, equipment, and grounds (where applicable) are maintained in a safe and aesthetically pleasing condition to provide an appropriate environment for the wellbeing of children, parents, visitors, and staff. Technician will proactively support efforts that ensure delivery of safe child care services and promote a safe environment at all locations.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent

CERTIFICATION SUMMARY:

Driver's license (Truck preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

3 years of experience in trade work such as general facilities maintenance, electricity, plumbing, heating/ventilation/air conditioning, refrigeration, and/or locksmith

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Must be able to work without direct supervision

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs planned and general maintenance functions on systems and equipment, including inspecting, maintaining, installing, and repairing.
  • Uses hand, diagnostic, and power tools relating to the physical plant equipment, observing proper onsite handling.
  • Keeps tools, equipment, and mechanical rooms in safe, clean, and organized working condition.
  • Assists Facilities Manager in purchasing parts, supplies, and materials necessary for proper maintenance of the systems and equipment in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Meets all in-service requirements, complies with all system policies and procedures, and understands and complies with infection control, safety, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
  • Managing and completing jobs in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs.
  • Monitor the physical condition and immediately report and correct unsafe conditions.
  • Perform work area clean up and safety related duties.
  • Complete necessary task on a priority basis.
  • Flexibility with maintenance emergencies after hours, required

Work Schedule: Day Employment Type: Full-Time Work Days: Monday - Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm; Weekend work as needed
