Camp Host's responsibilities are to greet guests, answer questions, do routine maintenance, light cleaning, and possibly collect campground fees. Using a creative assortment of methods, assist in the promotion of recreation operations and activities to internal and external sources.

  • Preparing weekly revenue and attendance reports
  • Helping guests solve problems
  • Cleaning exterior and interior facilities (particularly bathroom buildings)

  • Picking up litter throughout the complex
  • Maintain a neat and orderly camp site
  • Assist other employees when asked
  • Ensures the property is clean, orderly, well manicured and guest ready at all times

Job Qualifications:

  • High school degree or GED equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Thorough knowledge of the recreation industry programs and amenities

 

 

Success Factors:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills including the ability to remain calm and friendly when confronted with upset visitors or problems
  • Basic writing and computer skills
  • The ability to be on your feet, ride a bike and/or drive a golf cart and move around freely with guests
  • Ability to work positively with other campground employees and other staff members
  • Support all company policies and procedures

 

Physical Demands

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work in outdoor setting, the employee must be able to perform in all types of weather conditions.
