  • Responsible for leadership of financial strategy within the corporate structure. 
    • Ensures sound judgement is used and adherence to standard practices and procedures are met through direct supervision and leadership of team. 
    • Responsible for consistent performance management of employees including but not limited to hiring, firing, performance management, annual reviews, etc…
    • Advises team on non-standard or non-routine requirements
    • Provides regular training and coaching to staff for optimal performance and accuracy
  • Ensures accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual data, forecasts, reports, compliance and general information. Provides in-depth financial analysis and financial projects as needed
  • Leads and directs Cash Flow Planning and Management for organization with guidance from CFO.  Establishes inter-company billing rates, frequency and manages collections processes.
  • Provides advisement to management and ownership on fiscal decisions, impacts, and procedures. 
  • Develops and monitors operating budgets and expenditures.
  • Responsible for the development of policies, controls, systems, financial studies of matters of importance.  Leads compliance management for vendors and third-party providers.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with external and third-party accounting firms for tax and other financial reporting needs or requirements.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provides regular and reliable attendance

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 4+ years as Staff Accountant or related role
  • 2+ years in leadership role or with fiduciary responsibility within limits

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Pays strict attention to detail and is highly organized
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task large projects in conjunction with methodological processes
  • Must be resourceful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill

 

Physical Demands:

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
