Position Summary

A problem solver who can ensure the organization adheres to standard practices and procedures and safe guards the organization from financial issues.   This role supports the multiple properties in oversight of accounting processes, general ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivables, journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Support full cycle accounting function for assigned properties
  • Prepares internal and external financial statements through thorough analysis, reconciliation of accounts and adherence to standard accounting practices and procedures
  • Provides accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual data, forecasts, reports, compliance and general information.
  • Provides cash flow forecast for assigned portfolio
  • Experience managing of multiple hospitality entities
  • Process and manage all billing/accounts receivables/accounts payables/refunds for multiple properties
  • Communicates regularly with portfolio leadership and staff as well as corporate members.
  • Supports and implements process and procedure improvements to maximize efficiencies within accounting team including process for bank reconciliations, general ledger entry and accounting and AP/AR processes
  • Prepares and supports audit processes and procedures
  • Provides analysis for management and ownership on fiscal decisions, impacts, and procedures
  • Supports the development of policies, controls, systems, financial studies of matters of importance.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provides regular and reliable attendance

Job Qualifications:

  •  3-5 years of book keeping, accounts payable or receivable experience and demonstrate a familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures
  •  Experience using Quickbooks, Excel and Banking

 

Physical Demands:

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. 

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Pays strict attention to detail and is highly organized
  • Must be resourceful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Strong analytical skills
