Executive housekeepers are in charge of overseeing and directing the cleaning activities at the resort. An executive housekeeper has to be aware of the schedules of others in order to time the cleaning of rooms with other departments and prepare and the planning the work schedules in advance. Handling customer service and complaints and ordering new items.

  • Supervise Housekeeping staff to maintain ongoing operations and property systems.
    • Support recruitment, hiring and development of staff
    • Schedule and manage to ensure operation needs are met through adequate staffing plans while managing budget
    • Supports team to solve problems, educates, mentors and coaches staff for training and development of skills
  • Monitor the key performance indicators of Quality, Timeliness and Budget and ensure site management team is working together to achieve targets
  • Hold team accountable for measurable results and develop action plans for team if key metrics aren't being achieved
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all team members, utilizing safety committee meetings, training, and good practices are taking place
  • Build a professional relationship with resort management and other key members of the resort staff, and maintain frequent communication with resort team
  • Develop a customer first culture and display professional behavior to owners and guests.
  • Order linens and amenities
  • Performing evaluations
  • Communicate closely with management team to ensure interdepartmental cooperation
  • Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured and guest ready at all times.

Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 5+ years of successful housekeeping management experience in a hotel, condo management or vacation rental environment

Success Factors:

  • Strong writing, verbal presentation, and client facing skills
  • Outstanding analytical ability with an attention to detail and accuracy
  • Superior problem solving and reasoning skills
  • Build positive relationships with peers, management, and customers
  • Able to respond quickly to changing priorities and make good decisions
