Job Summary

Responsible for checking guests in and out, customer relations, safety, and communications throughout the hotel.

 

Essential Functions

  • Wears designated uniform and name tag at all times
  • Processes an hourly status of inventory in order to determine selling actions
  • Organizes all the days arrivals giving special attention to special requests
  • Upsells the hotel and all amenities
  • Registers all incoming guests in a courteous manner following proper procedure
  • Accepts and records method of payment and charges
  • Issues and maintains safety deposit boxes
  • Maintains key control as outlined
  • Responsible for cash handling and all keys issued
  • Observes good guest security procedures
  • Receives and processes guest messages and mail
  • Answers questions guests may have (directions, sightseeing and other recreational         activities)
  • Fully understands all fire and emergency procedures
  • Maintains good personal hygiene habits
  • Follows all company policies as they relate to pertinent area
  • Promotes positive guest and employee relations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by assignment
  • Qualification Standard
  • Administrative accuracy and attention to detail
  • Neat, professional appearance at all times
  • Pleasant telephone personality and attitude with guests
  • Standing and walking through 99% of shift required
  • Must be able to write and hear
  • Multi-language skills desirable
