Datz Restaurant Group began with the idea of a modest local restaurant that the friends and family of Suzanne and Roger Perry could call home. But in 2009 when Datz opened in South Tampa, plans quickly changed. Datz was and has remained a restaurant that's not only talked about, tweeted about, and covered by local and national media outlets such as Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, Food Network, FYI, and Good Morning America, but is also the most reviewed business in all of Tampa Bay. Datz Restaurant Group now continues to grow with our bakery Dough, and the latest venture Dr. BBQ, with Food Network personality Ray "Dr. BBQ" Lampe.  We opened our second Datz in St Pete, Florida May 2019 and we opened our third Datz in Riverview, Florida May 2020. Our next adventure will be a steakhouse in Riverview, FL opening in October 2020. 

Job Responsibilties but are not limited to:

  • Manage kitchen staff, including providing necessary direction and training
  • Schedule employees to ensure that the kitchen is adequately staffed at all necessary times
  • Assist with the preparation and design of food and drink menus
  • Make sure that all plates that leave the kitchen meet taste and design standards
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently and professionally
  • Maintain kitchen inventory and order supplies
  • Report to the Executive Chef
  • Confirm compliance with all sanitation and health and safety standards

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree or certificate in culinary arts
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of food preparation and existing health and safety standards
  • Ability to effectively manage, direct, and lead a large team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Collaborative attitude with an emphasis on excellent customer service
  • Serve Safe Manager Certified
