Stow-Away Storage is a locally owned self-storage company proudly offering three locations all convenient to the Ballentine/Chapin/Irmo area.  We are looking for an Assistant Manager who can be cross trained to work at our two office locations while operating three facilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who truly enjoys working with the public, is self-motivated and reliable, is a true team-player but also must work well independently. Qualified candidates must be able to pass a background check.  They must also have a valid Driver's License, adequate automobile insurance and reliable transportation.

Assistant Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the General Manager, ensuring efficient operation of all three facilities
  • Answer phone calls, field emails, and help guests by providing information, answering questions and fulfilling requests in a timely manner
  • Carry out administrative duties such as renting units, processing payments, filing, typing, copying, scanning, emailing, etc.
  • Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, mail, and in person
  • Travel between facilities as needed (facilities are within a 3-mile radius of each other)
  • Support the facilities by performing tasks related to the business such as helping keep the facilities clean, sweeping storage units and buildings, cleaning offices, bathrooms and common areas, policing property for trash, etc.. at all 3 Stow-Away Storage locations
  • Communicate professionally with customers as well as other employees
  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and calling for repairs when needed
  • Contribute to our team by accomplishing tasks in a timely and professional manner

Work Hours & Benefits:

Normal hours would be Tuesday-Friday from 9am-5pm and every Saturday from 9am-4pm.  Sundays and Mondays off.  Must have flexible schedule in order to ensure proper coverage of both offices.  Paid vacation/sick time offered after one year with the company; Health Insurance; Mileage Reimbursement $.58 cents/mile when travelling between facilities or for the business; 30-35 hours a week with the ability to be flexible when needed
