M&R Hotel Management is currently looking for a dynamic Catering and Sales Manager for the Tarrytown House Estate, Located at 49 East Sunnyside Lane Tarrytown. 

Essential Functions

· Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through efforts (outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, networking, etc.) while maximizing banquet space to meet/exceed revenue goals

· Plan, upsell and detail the meeting/function with the client including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations, etc.

· Complete the contracts, prepare the appropriate paperwork, including banquet event orders, coordinate with the appropriate areas in the hotel and resolve any issues, complaints, and problems to ensure a quality product delivery and customer satisfaction

· Produce sales based on previous clients renewing annual events

· Works directly with clients & wedding planners to gather necessary information for menu planning, floor plan, room set up, timelines, rental orders, decor, cost and billing details and any other requirements pertinent to their event in a timely manner and assist with those items as necessary

· Creates BEOs for distribution, leads BEO discussion for assigned events

· Responsible for follow-up circulation and timely communication with proper departments

· Position requires the manager to be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends to oversee the execution of your events. During peak social seasons, catering sales manager can expect their work schedule to fluctuate between a Monday - Friday schedule to a Tuesday - Saturday schedule

· Work with members of the F&B department and other colleagues on menu development

· Reviews and approves all group banquet checks

· Responsible for the final BEO calculations and final payment

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate and hotel procedures, products, and competition, including their strengths and weaknesses, to continually improve sales strategies and achieve goals

· Targets results-oriented high revenue potential sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with goals established by department budget and marketing plan

· Key Account Management: Maximizes current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth

· Achieves a minimum of 95% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals, as established by management

· A passion for sales involving qualification, solicitation and negotiating with clients and prospects

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· 5+ years-experience as a Catering leader with a boutique, lifestyle, or conference center hotel

· 5+ Years Previous Wedding Sales experience required

· Experience with Opera and Delphi preferred

· Excellent time management skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Strong customer service orientation and skills

· Must be self-motivated and results oriented

· Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
