The primary function of the Room Service Attendant is to provide exceptional service to all customers placing orders.
Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide welcoming phone greeting, convey menu information over the phone to guests and give accurate estimate of delivery time.
- Make F&B recommendations and apply suggestive selling techniques
- Ensure all dietary & allergen concerns are addressed
- Repeat all orders back to the guest, Print the guest check & ensure payment is entered properly
- Check that all items are accurate before it leaves the kitchen
- Monitor guest orders & ensure that they are delivered within the quoted time.
- Coordinate pick up of trays & tables after the completion of guests meals (Log Book)
- Follow up call to the guest (if applicable)
- Do assigned side duties including tray setup, tray runs
- Responsible for issues banks, payments, change & accuracy of closed checks.
- Communicate with the kitchen as well as the F&B supervisor to ensure things run smoothly; ask for help before its necessary.
- Maintain a clean work area at all times
- Product & equipment inventory/orders
- Attend department meetings
- Have fun, make $$$ and make the guest happy
Some desired qualifications for the In-Room Dining Attendant position include:
- Previous F&B serving experience in an upscale full service house
- Experience with F&B point of sale systems (Micros)
- Good telephone speaking and listening ability
- Able to work on your feet for long periods of time
- Comply with all company standards and policies, as established in the employee handbook.
- Other duties as required.
Education and/or Experience
A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Bachelor Degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management preferred or 2 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous hotel experience preferred, but not required.
Language Skills
The ability to: listen, read, write, and speak, both clearly, and effectively ensures that the lines of communication are open between the Associates and guests at the hotel; and is absolutely essential. Customer service is our priority, so it is imperative that all Associates communicate to the best of their ability.
Mathematical Skills
The ability to perform basic mathematical functions: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; along with the ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and interpret bar graphs.
Certifications
In this position you will need to be safe serve certified. We will need a copy of your Food Handlers and Sanitation Certificates. TIPS Certified.
