SUMMARY

Responsible for supervising a team of front desk associates to ensure that all guests are treated in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner, both face-to-face and on the phone.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:

  • Supervises and oversees the daily operations of Front Desk Associates.
  • Ensures that front desk communications meet hotel standards for maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Daily communication of current day's expected arrivals, special request reservations to ensure pre-registration, rooms blocks, and other departments are notified of room assignment and accommodations.
  • Ensures that established front desk procedures are completed following hotel standards (i.e guests are handled both courteously and professionally, proper identification and credit are established and all posting, cash transactions, account settlements, and deposits are handled correctly).
  • Assist in check-in, check-out of guests.
  • Review the daily room availability.
  • Timely resolve to guest issues, questions, or concerns.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   •  Excellent telephone communication skills
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • High school degree or equivalent experience, flexible schedule.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • IHG, Opera experience preferred

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

  • The entire shift is spent at the front desk standing for long periods.
  • Answer telephones for the duration of the shift
