SUMMARY

 

The Food & Beverage Supervisor directs and schedules kitchen, bar staff, and servers.  During peak hours they may assist in seating or serving customers and ensure the cleanliness and general look of the dining area, as well as maintaining inventory and cost control.

                                        

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:

 

  • Manage all food and beverage day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines, to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and schedule food and beverage staff.
  • Maintain accountability of standards including uniform, grooming, all training, including tips.
  • Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with heath department laws, liquor laws, and other applicable laws.
  • Identify customer needs and respond proactively.
  • Complete and facilitate monthly and quarterly inventories of food, beverage, and other inventories.
  • Ordering of all beer, wine, and liquor.
  • Establish targets, KPI's, schedules, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork, including attending regular managers meetings.
  • Maintain proper costs within the budget as determined by management.
  • Report on management regarding sales results and productivity.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  • Proven food and beverage management experience
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS, etc.)
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
  • Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
  • Guest-oriented and service-minded

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT
