JOB SUMMARY:
The Holiday Inn Lancaster is looking to add an energetic and motivated sales manager to our high performing Sales & Catering Team. We embrace a culture that values professionalism, respect, results, and fun!
In this role, you will be responsible for promoting, selling, booking, and coordinating various groups and social events at our prestigious Imperial Ballrooms, and our newly built outdoor Terrace at the Imperial Ballrooms.
Essential Job Functions:
- Achieve assigned revenue and sales call activity goals for specific assigned segments
- Solicit new and existing accounts via phone calls, outside calls, site inspections and written communication
- Conduct consistent ongoing prospecting to capture new business via leads generated through personal sales efforts
- Communicate relevant details with other Hotel departments regarding each group's stay, such as function space requests/requirements, audio visual needs, rooming lists, billing procedures and outside activities
- Plan and conduct site visits and pre-planning meetings with clients
- Coordinate with meeting planners in order to produce successful events
- Represent Hotel and The Imperial Ballrooms at relevant trade shows identified to drive awareness and bookings in the social catering segment
- Assist the Director of Sales in preparation of strategic marketing plans and sales plans to achieve objectives for assigned segments
- Qualify Leads and prospects gained from all sources
- Develop and nurture relationships with key clients and area venues in order to produce repeat referrals and repeat bookings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Skills:
- Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and familiarity with brand specific property Management System(s).
- Ability to exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills.
- Ability to use analytic skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.
Job Qualifications:� Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.
Education
Associates Degree in Sales &Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 2 years hotel sales experience or the equivalent amount of industry experience; OR, equivalent combination of education and work experience.
