The primary function of the Night Auditor is to assist the hotel guests on the overnight shift, and attend to their needs while utilizing the highest possible level of service; thus, ensuring we are providing a welcoming and accommodating environment. The Night Auditor is to keep an accurate account of guest transactions and hotel revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable in Opera System.
- Knowledgeable in the proper check-in/check-out procedures.
- Ensure that guests' needs and requests are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure to follow through on all issues and discrepancies as pertaining to Guest Services.
- Be aware of tone and composure when addressing guests and other Associates.
- Ensure that guests' names are used throughout your interaction with them.
- Complete daily shift checklist.
- Make and confirm reservations.
- Accountable for maintaining banks and/or cash drawers at the Front Desk.
- Conduct daily bucket checks.
- Complete and print all required daily reports, records and logs as necessary.
- Complete courtesy calls within 20 minutes of guest check in.
- Deposit guests' valuables in hotel safe deposit box.
- Relocate guests to nearby hotels as necessary.
- Answer and transfer calls in accordance with hotel standards.
- Restock and organize all work areas as necessary.
- Post charges to guest rooms, make changes, compute bills and collect payments.
- Verify daily rate and availability.
- Balance all cash, check, credit card and ledger accounts as assigned as per proper protocol.
- Maintain records of financial transactions reported by various departments.
- Handle all administrative and or accounting tasks as directed by Management.
- Handle collection of all in house balances.
- Assist in turning rooms as necessary.
- Set wake-up calls.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and hotel functions.
- Comply with all company standards and policies, as established in the employee handbook.
- Other duties as required.
Education and/or Experience
A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Bachelor Degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management preferred or 2 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous hotel experience preferred, but not required.
