Overview: 

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a wide range of HR related duties in payroll, recruitment, training, benefits administration, policy implementation, maintaining employee files and compliance. This position will work closely with and report to the Director of Human Resources. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Post open management positions: review resumes, conduct preliminary interviews, and administer assessments, perform reference checks 
  • Review the status of all open positions 
  • Train and mentor management on our recruiting and selection software for their hiring needs. Advise management on hiring decisions 
  • Conduct and analyzing exit interviews 
  • Review and approve payroll for processing and maintain payroll records in accordance with policies and procedures 
  • Assist department leaders with rate of pay updates and time adjustments 
  • Track hours worked each month and advise management ft/pt status changes  
  • Audit timekeeping system vs. employee records to verify employment status, job code, and rate of pay 
  • Audit all new-hire files monthly 
  • Manage the 401K program 
  • Provide benefit enrollment information to eligible team members  
  • Review and submit benefit packages as needed  
  • Assist in the administration the annual associate engagement survey 
  • Manage performance review process and ensure they are completed on time 
  • Run reports on employment data including payroll, birthday/anniversary, etc. 
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. 
  • Oversee leave of absence and workers compensation 
  • Administer employment verification 
  • Maintain electronic employee files   
  • Maintains confidentiality of all personnel issues and information  
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance 
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources 
  • Knowledge of employment law, safety, training, benefits preferred.  
  • Strong computer literacy including experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products. 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. 
  • Multilingual is preferred but not required.  
  • This position will typically work a daytime Monday - Friday schedule Naples Corporate office. 
  • Must be available for occasional travel and work outside of normal hours (evenings/weekends) due to business demands to assist in training, property visits, opening new hotels, etc.
