Overview:
The Barback plays an essential role on our restaurant team by ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization, of the bar, as well as, keeping the bar area organized and stocked accordingly. You will be focused on optimizing each guest's experience by living out our company purpose of "hospitality from our family to yours".
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently able set up and break down beverageservice stations.
- Wash and disinfect areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
- Date and examine bar products and supplies to ensure quality and quantity
- Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas.
- Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing.
- Breakdown dirty bus tubs.
- Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area.
- Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments.
- Dispose of glass in the proper containers.
- Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.
- Greet each guest that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile.
- Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Follow hotel procedures for reporting and turning in lost and found articles.
- Coordinate with other departments as necessary to resolve service requests or problems.
- Ensure guest and associate safety by following established security procedures including emergency procedures, key security and protecting guest and company confidential information.
- Beverage stations offering alcoholic beverages must be manned at all times. At no time is a guest permitted to serve themselves.
- Follow all company and safety procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-pace environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
