Job Purpose:  As a Assistant Chief Engineer your role is to work in tandem with the Chief Engineer to provide preventive maintenance, the ideal candidate needs to be able to have initiative to resolve property issues.

Job Responsibilities: 

1. Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
2. Assist in checking and making routine repairs, assist on major repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment.
3. Assist in training department staff in emergency procedures.
4. Maintain an ongoing maintenance program for all the hotel operational outlets and back of house spaces.
5. Help troubleshoot issues.
6. Attend monthly departmental meetings.
7. Works closely with housekeeping to ensure coordination of activities.
8. Maintains visual appeal of grounds and building as needed.
9. Aids and instructs craftsman in scheduling work and completing assignments by specified dates.
10. Monitor energy, gas, oil, and water consumption on a prescribed basis.
11. Be a team player and assist in other departments when help is needed.

 Physical Requirements

• Continuously reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, stooping, and wiping required throughout the duration of the shift
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Lifting and moving 75 - 100 pounds maximum
