SUMMARY
Provides the highest level of service, greets guests with friendliness and enthusiasm, and interacts with all guests at the bar, including having a positive attitude at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:
- Takes guest orders and recommends beverages to enhance their experience; observes guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when beverage and/or meal is completed.
- Serves beverages in a timely manner.
- Maintains full knowledge of beer products and descriptions.
- Knowledgeable of proper glassware and pouring techniques.
- Knowledgeable of wine, liquor and other featured beverages.
- Can prepare tap cocktails to recipe specifications and serving procedures.
- Knowledgeable about bar food offerings and current promotions.
- Stocks beer, wine, and bar supplies.
- Washes glassware according to proper sanitation guidelines.
- Follows opening/closing checklists to prepare for business and close down at end of shift.
- Maintains a clean work area and guest environment during the shift.
- Follows all requirements for the responsible service of alcohol.
- Understands basic money handling and can make proper change and process credit card transactions.
- Clears, resets tables, and properly stores items at conclusion of each course/event.
- Provides assistance and direction to guests when necessary.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
